the empower flow. –  yoga done the yoga studio. way

a steamy  yoga class might sound counter-intuitive, especially if the temperature is already rising outside. but the fact is, experts agree that doing yoga in warmer temperatures is better for stretching muscles and the added heat also might boost metabolism. muscles loosen up faster in a heated room allowing you to go deeper into a posture, giving you a better workout with deeper stretches.

just what is yoga?

yoga can refer to many types of yoga done in a heated room. although there are a few styles of yoga classes, bikram yoga is the original yoga and among the better known. even though some people may use “yoga” and “bikram” interchangeably, the truth is that all bikram yoga is hot, but not all  yoga is bikram.

so what is the difference? regular yoga often tends to be a flowing vinyasa style of practice with a room temperature set below 100 degrees. bikram yoga entails a specific 26 posture sequence over 90 minutes in a room heated to approximately 105 degrees.

at the yoga studio., we have found that 90 degrees is just the right temperature to achieve all of the benefits of yoga. some of the benefits of the empower flow class:

  • increased flexibility.
  • it can detoxify your body.
  • it can give you glowing skin.
  • it may boost heart health.
  • it promotes mindfulness.
  • it lifts your mood.
